Subsitute teachers or Like Ryuu said, semi-elites, are just like other ranks in anime. Like in Bleach for example, an Espada and their fraccion, captains and their leutenients, etc... Not totally alike, but the basic concept. Rather than subsitute teachers, let's call them assistant teachers; they assist the main teacher around the class with the kids, projects, and such. I'm sure many of you have seem assistant teachers, or something of the sort, in your own classrooms. I know I have; and when the main teacher is out, that teacher takes over the class for that period of absence.
