History:
Denji grew up in Kiagou City, a normal boy. He was always laid back, very lazy, and very rebellious. This got him in trouble with his parents very often. His father was a drunk, and abusive, his mother did nothing to stop him. She would just leave the room without saying a word and let his father have his way. Denji lived ten years of his life with those wretched people, spending as much time as he could away from home. However, his education came from library books and "How-to" manuals, as his parents didn't send him to school. This also meant that he didn't have very many friends at all. When he spent time outside it was always in his very tree down by the train tracks near his house. No one came by there because it was illegal, so he got a lot of peace and quiet. There was always some form of noise, but it was rhythmic and soothing. When a train wasn't coming, the bubbling stream that ran underneath it filled in the silence.
When Denji was eleven he didn't get a birthday. He got no presents or congratulations, or cake. His father came home more wasted and violent than before. For the first time ever, he beat Denji's mother in front of him. When she lay motionless on the ground, most likely playing dead, his father turned to Denji. In a sudden fit of panic, Denji unlocked an ability he had never known he had. The ability killed his father, and saved his life. Denji ran from that house, shaken and scared. It was then that Denji met the woman who would change his life. She took him by the hand and led him to Kiahou academy, where he would learn to control his powers and become accepted by other children. The woman didn't give him a name, she only said that she saw what had happened and that she knew what he was going through. He never saw her again, though he would be forever grateful to her.
